LWF NEPAL HOLDS ITS 2 ND RESOURCE PARTER'S ROUNDTABLE

 

The 2-day Roundtable was held on 21 and 22 June 2010 at Nagarkot, a place which is about 40 miles East of Kathmandu. The meeting was attended by Ms. Narelle Bowden-Ford of Australian Lutheran World Service, Ms. Nina Ellinger and Mr. Mani Kumar of DanChurch Aid, Ms. Mari Paajanen of FinnChurch Aid, Mr. Jethro Kleibeuker and Mr. Bidyanath Bhurtel of ICCO, Netherlands , Ms. Loja Rohan of Norwegian Church Aid, Mr. Anup Aryal and Mr. Govinda Adhikari of UNHCR, Nepal, Ms. Abiola Akanni and Ms. Katie Williams of World Food Program, Nepal. Seventeen senior members of staff of LWF Nepal also attended the meeting.

 

After the welcome speech by Mr. Marceline P. Rozario, Country Representative, LWF Nepal and the presentation on ‘Overview of Nepal National Scenario' by Mr. Kunda Dixit, a renowned commentator of Nepal, the meeting saw presentations and discussions among others, Overview of Program Strategy 2008 – 13, Overview of Organizational Strategy, Mid Term Evaluations, Future Status of LWF Nepal, and State of the Resource Partners. The meeting was productive and held in a congenial atmosphere.

The LWF Nepal Round Table is held every two years. The next meeting will be held in May 2012.
